Crosstalk

Crosstalk phenomenon generates in the SWIR (short wavelength infrared radiometer) image of ASTER on the occasion of use of a SWIR picture in the place where DN values significantly change, such as a land-and-sea boundary part and inland. A crosstalk phenomenon is a phenomenon in which dispersion of the incidence light on detection surface of SWIR leaks to other bands, especially from the band 4 to the band 5 and 9.

The example of a image of crosstalk phenomenon is shown below (however, this image was processed by decorrelation stretch , and the crosstalk phenomenon is also enhanced).

In addition, crosstalk correction software is available from the GDS web site below.
